In the context of the 1-54 Art fair dedicated to Contemporary Art from Africa and its diaspora, Kouka presents his new artworks at Jardin Rouge, the Montresso* Art Foundation's artists residency. This new work on the theme of femininity and motherhood, attempts to pay tribute to the creative power of women and its universal character. The figures painted on jute bags used for commercial transport, also evoke the triangular trading system and the sufferings of the victims of the transatlantic slave trade.
